How to check shocks?

Hi all how do you check shocks when you have air suspension- I may be imagining it but the front seems a little more bouncy than it did! Current stable:
2006 BMW M6
2007 4.2 V8 S/C FF
Gone:
2002 4.4 V8 FF

The easy way is to get someone to drive your car and you drive alongside in another car and just look. If you have a shock gone you'll see the wheel bouncing up and down like crazy. Failing that the old way was to put all your weight on the affected corner and then let go, try and see if that corner bonces more than the others. It should settle in one or two bonces.

Has anyone else any experience on the front as I don’t know how to test with air - do they get noisy? I have 22s so I’m not sure if the ride is down to them or the shocks or both it didn’t always seem so bouncy but could be my imagination due to lockdowns Surprised Current stable:
