Happy Daddy have been working on this over the weekends with my Girl, so proud of her she has mastered driving screw with the impact driver, drilling into masonry and making use of the chop saw. we now have a place for storage and working on a bench. got to tidy up and fix vice in place. It has taken a long time due to teaching the little one how to do stuff.
She has stuck with it bearing in mind it has been just above freezing here.
You can see she has inherited her own drill and driver also in the background you can see her xmas present the red toolbox with her name on Thumbs Up Mr. Green

So much envy of these dream garages!

I cannot remember the last time mine was tidy, I sold the Defender to make some space and being honest it made no difference!!

you should see behind the camera!!!! its a junk shop this is the first part of the tidy up. i am sick and tired of getting wet when i work on the cars so have decided to do something about it.
Just after some old kitchen wall units now i think i need a few. the object is to keep the floor clear so i can get a car in. got an electric garage door on order up / down shutter type get rid of the up and over. this will release a lot of space on the walls too. 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - Current

My policy is everything that can be on wheels is on wheels, then I can move things around, clean underneath and even hose things out. The only things that aren't wheeled are my lathe (1.2 tonnes) and my milling machine (2.1 tonnes).

I have two steel cabinets that came with the lathe and the mill and both were badly corroded at the bottom where they'd been dragged across the floor. They've been repaired and are now both on wheels.

It makes things a lot quicker tidying up now also, as you just move the cabinet rather than take things out and move them around the workshop.

Very envious of many of you and the facilities you have. I rely on using the well equipped workshop of my brother in law and his very comprehensive tool range if I need to get my hands dirty and do any big jobs (like the one shown). Chocolate Hob Knobs seem to be a great "currency" especially when I also make the tea!!

Our 75ft x 30ft garage/workshop. It needs a damn good clean but it's got everything we need in there Smile

Hydraulic Press, 24" Power Hacksaw, Pillar Drill, Milling Machine, Lathe, Standby Generator, Surface Grinder, Lifting Gantry, 4 Post Ramp, MIG, TIG, Arc and Oxy welders, and a big 3 phase compressor and receiver Smile It's just desperate for a good tidy out which is on the cards for spring this year when it's warmed up a touch.

Used for parking and workshop facilities to keep cars out of the weather.

KurtVerbose just seen your pics, as a marine engineer with a normal double garage, now envious, wish mine had machines like yours. If you do not mind me asking -
Is that a radial engine on the stand?
If so, what the hell is it out of?!!!!!!!!!

All explained here....

I've not really made a start on it yet. Too many other projects keep coming up and this is always on a back burner. I will get it done some day.

There's a 'Show us your shed' competition that Harry's garage is promoting.
