United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zambezi Silver

My 2009 TDV8 SE is very similar to yours, except the wheels have been sprayed black by the previous owner which I dislike and are like your originals. Still only driven it 50 miles since December when I got it!

Yeah they are very similar, same age too Thumbs Up

I did consider having the wheels done gloss black, and while I think it would look good I think the silver looks classier Cool 2010 MY Range Rover 3.6 TDV8 Vogue SE - Stornoway Grey with Semi-Aniline Ivory Leather and Piano Black Trim

i took mine up the local lane when the weather was at its worst and the car got filthy. I have steps on mine which are quite useful I find, but would stop me from putting on mudflaps. Interested to see how these go on, what did you pay? 2009 TDV8 3.6

They can’t be any worse than the £25 set I tried off ebay Laughing .. Being Genuine LR I’m confident they’ll be a great fit (Fingers crossed)

For the front and rear they retail at £168.05 including VAT. With a bit of trade discount, they came to £147.06 delivered to me which I’m pretty happy with 2010 MY Range Rover 3.6 TDV8 Vogue SE - Stornoway Grey with Semi-Aniline Ivory Leather and Piano Black Trim

Thank you John, I've always been particular with my cars, especially my Land Rovers.. I like to put my own stamp on them and yet try to keep it OE Plus 2010 MY Range Rover 3.6 TDV8 Vogue SE - Stornoway Grey with Semi-Aniline Ivory Leather and Piano Black Trim

I spent Saturday morning fitting my new mud flaps. I know this wont be to everyone's taste, it's not entirely to mine either if I'm honest, but it's more function over form. While the L405 wheels look great, because of their lower offset they sling stones at the rear doors and I'm getting too many stone chips. The mud flaps will also be a benefit as we use the Range Rover for towing our caravan too.

So while not a "cool" modification, still one done to the best of my ability so the fit is 100% Thumbs Up

I fitted mudflaps to mine for a similar reason; the front of my caravan was getting all sorts of stuff thrown up on to it so something had to be done.

Dunc. The life you have is the only one you'll get; make the most of it.

When I first got my Range Rover one of the first thing I did alongside servicing it was to replace the brakes as they were shot.

Well, I fell into the trap of buying the Brembo branded discs and pads from Euro Car Parts didn't I. Rolling Eyes Couple this with the fact that the 2010MY 3.6 TDV8 only comes with two pot sliding front brake callipers means my braking performance is less than substandard, in my opinion.

After reading up about it on the forum I have bit the bullet and here is my next project, 4.4 TDV8 6pot Brembo Callipers. They're actually in pretty decent condition on first inspection Cool

Can't wait to clean these up and refurbish them, speaking with Robin from Duckworths about the discs, pads and fittings already for when I come round to getting them fitted

Little bit of an update..

I have stripped the 6pot callipers down and removed all the seized pins etc, thankfully all twelve pistons appear to be free and the seals in good order which is great news

I will be rechecking the seals and possibly replacing them when I blast the callipers down ready for paint, I have all new pins and springs and new stainless bleed nipples ready too

I have also just ordered a full rear 4.4tdv8 calliper set up from a breaker too so I will be able to do a full 4.4tdv8 brake upgrade Very Happy
