United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey
My Stornoway Grey Vogue SE

Hi everyone my name is Dale and I have a 2009 3.6 TDV8 Vogue SE L322 in Stornoway Grey

Although I'm new to the forum I've owned my Range Rover for nearly two years and I've really enjoyed it. Before this I had a Discovery 2 TD5 Landmark for over ten years so I'm pretty familiar to playing with the LR brand

Here's a picture from the day I picked it up, this was a huge day for me as I'd always dreamt about owning a Facelift L322 ever since driving one on a LR Experience day back when they were brand new! Very Happy

Funny enough when I started looking around I was convinced I wanted Black with Black leather and then I found this one...

I absolutely loved the colour at first sight and I was blown away by the condition of the interior, the Ivory Leather with Piano Black trim just looked incredible and we were hooked, especially with the Black Wood Steering Wheel and Gear Lever too

Plus it had the rear entertainment which was a must for the kids Rolling Eyes

I knew when I purchased it that it really needed four new tyres, but I fell lucky and found a set of new L405 wheels which had come off a PDI vehicle

So the first modification was a lovely set of L405 Style 7001 21" wheels

At the time it was a huge gamble as I hadn't seen this specific style of L405 on a L322, but it paid off massively as I personally think they look so at home on the car.. very pleased with them and the Continental Tyres they came with are excellent

Within two months of buying the Vogue I had already started to collect some more Piano Black trims to carry on the theme I felt would work well with the car

It came with Piano Black fog lamp surrounds so this gave me inspiration to replace the front lower trim, the front grille, the side grilles, the wing mirror covers, the bonnet lettering and at the same time I fitted some new indicators from Powerful UK and some different centre caps

Looks stunning. A little but unsure on the wheels as I like the standard l322 variety

They look a million times better without side steps or mudflaps. Have you had any major issues with it?

I agree they look loads cleaner without sidesteps and mudflaps, although I am considering fitting some mudflaps as the wider offset of the L405 wheels has thrown the occasional stone up at my paintwork which is starting to ruin the condition a little.. so that's potentially on the cards

No major issues to speak of, the usual curve ball now and again but overall it's been brilliant to me.. Touch wood it'll continue that way. It's got full service history and I have been over the top with maintenance to try and help it out

I attempted to satisfy my OCD by sorting the bits out for the arm rest, but failed as I couldn't find a Parker pen the correct length for the hole Crying or Very sad

That's a handy umbrella. You don't know the part number, do you?

Mine has the old Nokia 6230i phone holder above that.
