Hello My Rover family i have a 2014 RR L405 V6 SUPERCHARGED. My truck isn't running hot and I don't see any leaks....but it is running low on coolant once a week. I have 114,000 on the dash...no checking engine lights on but i am concerned to find out is this normal ..I do live in hot ass houston....need help, what could be the issue.

Not a common engine in these parts I’m afraid, you may even be the only one on here with one.

As you’ve probably figured it shouldn’t be losing coolant. Has it had it changed recently? Has anyone been at the system for any reason and it need properly bleeding, which if not done properly will keep pulling coolant out of the Header tank until it’s happy...

If it’s not been messed with then it has got a leak. And by the sound of it quite a big one.... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

If there are no visible leaks then it might be the head gasket. A failed head gasket will usually give a white exhaust. ----------

A friend had the same issue on his 5.0 sc and it was the water pump, replaced and now fixed. Not very visable signs of a leak but careful inspection showed markings below the pump area.

Yes I'm responding 125,000 miles later....the Rover is running good and it was the water pump......no problems since...thank you

I have a 2014 3.0l since new and now it is drinking water. I have found out that the rear offside (UK car) there is a set of hoses that send coolant to the rear heating system and these have a leak. This is going to set me back £2000 to have the pipes replaced due to the rear sub frame will need to be lowered to gain access.

Since you are in a hot climate is the water evaporating before you see it?
