Recommendations for dog guard and liner

Well my sacred SC has now to be turned into a temporary dog transporter whilst I have to take the D3 off the road for some other TLC.
Any recommendations for the dog guard? I have a Trevall in the D3 but cannot seem to find the corresponding FFRR number?
And also for a decent liner?
All recommendations mosy welcome!!

I have this combination. Worked well for our Labrador retriever whilst also having the car filled up with holiday gear last summer...

Thanks, Blackdog. I
'm looking more at the half-guard, similar to my D3 set-up.
I'm also looking, after the search in the forum for a "hatch-bag" type liner.
I can't find it on the normal channels (fleabay, etc.) 2005 FFRR SC Java Black with Overfinch Exhaust (UK)

If anyone has any thoughts on this I would be interested. I have a pretty nice looking carpet in my boot and I would like to keep it that way...

I'm thinking hard tray and some sort of fabric curtain to go around the sides.

I have reclining rear seats so I understand I need to get a specific half-height guard if I want one?

I only need it to stop tall loads coming forward into the cabin if I have to brake suddenly.

Can anyone tell me if the retractable fabric mesh type like those Land Rover sold for it is sufficiently beefy to stop a box of stuff flying into the back of my head? (They look like this and are horrendously expensive if you go genuine) 2012 L322 TDV8 Vogue SE: Buckingham Blue

I’ve got an official Land Rover rubber soft cover over my luxury carpet in the boot. Seems to do the trick for our Labrador retriever.

I prefer a cage/crate but have a Hatchbag liner with the LR flexible mat over it.

I like a crate too. But to my surprise his crate doesn’t fit in the back of the FFRR. It was perfect in our Mercedes GLS but the Range Rover is too small to put it length wise. And if I was to put it sideways then it becomes awkward with the rest of the luggage. Hence I had to buy what was linked above.

Here's a page out of the original catalogue that has all the original item codes:

Unfortunately the image doesn't upload in full resolution here, so here are the codes (from left to right):

Loadspace Rubber Mat - LR003894
Rigid Loadspace Protector - EBF000040
Flexible Loadspace Protector - VPLMS0017
Load Retention Net - VUB000700
Side Nets - VUB000710
Large Barrier Half Height - LR007320; for reclining seats - VPLMS0040
Cargo Barrier Full Height - VUB503890; for reclining seats - VPLMS0039

Personally, I've found polyester bed covers from Ikea to work extremely well with dogs (unless they are covered in mud and shake aggressively) - https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/trattviva-bed...-00442183/

I've also found this Lurvig bed to work well (preventing the dog from sliding about in the back and providing a nice place to relax - https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/lurvig-dog-bed-light-gray-90476753/
unfortunately, doesn't seem to be available in Ikea UK.

And don't forget about the spill resistant bowl - VPLCS0518
it really does work rather well, and you can attach it to one of the cargo hooks.

speaking of crates, MB makes the perfect collapsible plastic crate for "stuff", and it's cheap - A2038400020

For my last 2 cars I have ordered custom made liners from www.overthetop.co.uk

They do a lovely quilted waterproof liner which is machine washable. The liner for my 405 turned up this afternoon, and as soon as I have it fitted I'll post some pics here.

Cost was £250 inc delivery, and as I used one of their seat covers in my last car for 7 years and it never looked tatty, I would call that good value.

This doesn't answer the guard question, but if you want a good liner, I received this today and just fitted it. A few wrinkles that need smoothing out, but its good thick material and fits well.

If I recall, the original LR version isn't machine washable, and doesn't have the 60/40 split if you want to drop one of the rear seats, which is a requirement for when we go camping

I used custom car covers for the boot hatch bag and I’m very pleased with it, for the dog guard I bought the landrover luggage/dog guard roller net both work perfectly with my pooch 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8

Given I don’t actually have a dog, I’m thinking a cheap cover like this and then a rubber mat to protect the tailgate when it’s down should be ok? 2012 L322 TDV8 Vogue SE: Buckingham Blue

Depending on the dog(s) that may even be an overkill Wink
But this should keep your post-trip cleaning to a minimum, even if you've got two labs who'd had a go in mud Thumbs Up
It's probably also worth considering a thick polyester blanket/bed cover for the tailgate. I like the ones from Ikea. Dogs claws are not as sharp and tough as may seem at first, they are not wolverines! A rubber mat for the tailgate may get in a way.

At most you'll get a barely visible scratch on a plastic if you don't cover it with anything. If you go the bare route, depending on the dog, you may want to put a blanket over the rear seats, so the dog doesn't accidentally scratch the leather.

The blanket for the tailgate is to make it psychologically easier for the dog and protect the carpets from water/mud/sand/dirt. If the dog is fairly clean, i.e. not after a long walk in the rain, you don't really need anything for the cargo space, maybe a blanket or a dog bed to keep the pooch happy.

Be prepared to help the dog up - RR is quite high, if a particular dog isn't used to jumping into cars, it may require a bit of negotiation with treats, or plain old catch and carry Very Happy 2009 Range Rover Westminster 3.6 TDV8 Alaska White/Jet

Thanks for the tips dimetrius - and apologies to the OP for hijacking this thread...

As I say, I don't have a dog, but I do have children Rolling with laughter
Also I am replacing a Defender which had an interior that could take a lot more abuse without noticing!
