The TDV8 advert is a little sketchy, not a huge amount of information, no idea how long he's owned it.
The TD6 advert is full of good info & just how an ad should read, very informative.
If it's the guy's first fatty then he needs to drive both a TDV8 & a TD6 to see clearly what the difference is.
I had a BMW X5 with the same TD6 engine, slightly noisy & slightly slower than a TDV8 but still very enjoyable, very reliable & also very easy to work on.
Perhaps a TD6 to start with? I really don't know what to advise.
The tailgate on the TD6 is shot, but at that age I would think another tailgate in colour could be found pretty easily.

I’ve contacted the td6 chap and he has some viewing it on Monday but if he doesn’t show up or not take it I’m going to make the trip I think.
