Does anyone know if a upgrade to the 6hp28 from the 2010 to 2012 L322 has been tried in a 2006 to 2009? I see the transmissions are very similar. I thought maybe the IIDTool might be able to flash the transmission and ECU. Why thoughts? Thanks.

Why would you want to..??

Over your side of the pond you have lots of transmission shops, I'm sure someone over there will do modified/updated parts for that box if you want some, it is used in lots of vehicles...

IMHO reflashing a box is not a good idea unless you have a specific fault..  Pete

Well for some reason there are more available with lower milage and they are almost $1000 cheaper. Thought if it could be swapped it would be a cost effective way to go. Even less expensive then a rebuild.

The canbus changed for MY10. It appears that the original mechatronics unit has to be retained.
