Any vehicle is reliable mate. It all comes down too how stringent you are with the servicing and maintenance.

If your sending it in to garage and telling them fix what it needs n your not bothered about the bill I'd imagine the car will do well etc

Thanks Rosco!

Now just need to find a decent example. Doesn’t seem to be too many around at the mo that aren’t the end of the country!

Interesting thread chaps!

Would you say that the supercharged is more reliable than the tdv8? I’ve heard that a number of times…

And the classic question.. around town and on small runs, what mpg are getting??

Many thanks!

SW London 14mpg, on a run 28mpg, have achieved 32mpg on steady motorway.

I have averaged 17 - 18mpg around town, on motorway & towing over 165,000 in total. It doesn’t seem to matter what kind of driving I do, it all averages out in the long run.

Did a 200 mile round trip towing race car & trailer with no issues. I really can’t bring myself to change this car Thumbs Up

My alternator failed at about 100k, on removal the brushes had plenty of 'meat' left on them the bearings were fine but the rectifier had failed
