Scotland 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Fuji White

Fitted the new Bevinsee H7 LED 120w main beam bulbs.

Truly awesome so now fully LED front end.

Installed Unique Auto Developments (ID core) Apple CarPlay solution. Was a proper faff getting all the dash and trim off to be able to remove the head unit. However, it’s completely achievable for a novice with patience and a few photos.

Whilst I was in there, I was able to swap out the instrument cluster cooling fan that’s behind the steering column with a used one from eBay (but 3 years younger so 🤞) I’d been getting the B12FE-13 (2Cool Fan - General electrical failure - circuit open fault intermittently so hoping that solves it.

All back together again now and working perfectly. Only 3 dash fixing screws left over at the end so hope they’re not essential! 😂 Andy

At long last, what began as a simple front caliper refurbishment turned into a full overhaul. All the suspension arms, drop links, and steering arms have been replaced with Lemförder parts. I also re-greased and re-booted the drive shafts, new ABS sensors brake hoses etc, etc and finished with a complete coolant flush — 11 litres in total. It’s finally finished!

Changed the plugs and filters. Surprisingly long job.
(Rear plugs are a faff to do)

Oiled the towing socket on towbar as it stopped dropping down.

Finally got around to two small jobs that have been bugging me for some time.

Firstly modified the Sprinter jack with the new adapter head. Now much more stable although somewhat limits what I can use it for now.

Secondly replaced the space saver with a full sized wheel, thankfully I had the loading kit, that Defender wheel is very heavy. Thought it may be an issue with the 15mm extra offset of the Defender rim, but no problem at all.




The original space saver alloy I'll put up for sale, the tyres never been on the car, still has the paint on the tread. The date code is 3818 so this is relatively new to the car as mine is a 2012 car so I suspect the previous owner replaced the wheel & tyre some time in 2018.

Anyway, I'll put it up for sale as I don't need it anymore and the only ones I see on EBAY are crappy condition and they seem to be quite rare in as new condition. Seems this wheel is used for a variety of LR models not just the L322.
