Must be water ingress, back on working on mine, been sitting on axle stands for 4 weeks, saw this and thought I had better check my spare - bone dry.

Check for water ingress. Lots of sources ...top tailgate hinges, tow bar bolts into x member, seals etc. It can take a long time to find. Be methodical.
Check behind the side covers to make sure no condensation on the electronics.
Lift spare wheel - any water sloshing about?
I use small pillows of water absorbing crystals to keep any small condensation at bay. Have 4 of them dotted around sides and wheel well. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

No sign of water in the spare wheel well. Could the compressor be purging moist air creating a tropical micro-climate under the boot floor? 2011MY 4.4TDV8 Autobiography Baltic Blue

Unlikely to be down to the compressor, it doesn't usually work for long unless you have a leak.
If you have no sign of water collecting in the boot area the condensation could just be down to the weather conditions.
It's likely the wheel has got cold to a temperature below the dew point temperature of the air which given the amount of rain lately could be quite high.
If it's possible take the wheel out, dry it off and sit it somewhere to warm up.
The chances are that would resolve the problem.
If the condensation reoccurs you almost certainly have water sitting in the boot area somewhere.
