Oil Cooler Filter Housing 3.6 TDV8 - Is there a gasket here?

Hi all,

Can anyone confirm if there is a gasket between the cooler and the 'base' of the Oil Cooler Filter Housing on a 2010 3.6 TDV8 as shown in the pic below?

I know there's one for the whole assembly, but I have a coolant leak at the back to the 'V' which I'm trying to locate. Thermostat housing replaced and the Hose Assembly/Hoses all checked and appear fine - pressure test next - but just wondered about the gasket.....

UPDATE:

I may have answered my own question ? Just found this image on Ebay and to me ... Id say there was something there ....
?

Thanks, Gavin Gavin

Yes there is a gasket but like the TDV6's cooler I haven't seen any reference for the gasket indicating that the gasket isn't available as a spare part, whereas the equivalent gasket for the 4.4's cooler is available as a spare part even though it wasn't initially.

Thanks for confirming GraemeS Thumbs Up I asked Duckworth Parts this morning and yes, no gasket shown/available on Microcat.

I'll take it apart and take a look / reseal with an appropriate sealant. I've also just ordered LR002340 (the main gasket between the housing and engine) - there's really no point not doing it whilst I'm this far in and got it all apart.

When I changed my 4.4's gaskets I coated the new middle gasket with a high temperature silicone sealant. If your gasket doesn't disintegrate then perhaps that's an option for you.

Note that Microcat doesn't show the 4.4's gasket as a distinct item but now it is available so don't just rely on Microcat.

Yes - I'll need to drop some of its oil and coolant though as I can imagine the two will mix if I removed just the cooler on its own.

I've bought some Granville Instant Gasket for this -

I'm aiming to write this up for all fellow 3.6 owners who may need to do this in the future Gavin

Pretty sure it’s 002342 - between the cooler and the base looking at the parts invoice from when I did this.
