LED Reverse light upgrade

Hello all

I know this has been asked in the past but many of those posts are now quite old and the links no longer work.

I ordered from a seller on eBay who claimed they worked on the L322 but I found that they were too long. They measure 34mm.

I have found another seller selling LED's that he says are 30mm long. Before I buy another set can any one confirm what the maximum length should be? or have a current link to ones known to work.

Many thanks

There used to be a group buy thread until someone on eBay started selling them at a much lower rate.

According to others these fit:-

Hope that helps

Stan - Thanks, I saw that thread.

Ian - Those are the ones I am currently looking at so good to get confirmation that they will fit.

The current supplier has just got back to me, wants a picture of my original against his. So I'll do that tomorrow and see what he has to say.

Thanks

I can confirm they fit however you will get the odd strobing effect when the car does a light check.

I'll get some pictures tomorrow night for you as the old one has the reverse leds but the new one don't. Would say I'd get some tonight but after 8 double glenfiddichs that probably ain't gonna happen haha

I fitted higher watt halogens to my TD6, but over time, they started to melt the plastic lens from the inside, so had to go back to standard.

Got LEDs in my TDV8 - bought when members got a batch of ones that fitted… you prob read a previous post with it on.

I looked at the available options for my reversing lights and in the end went down the root of a pair of slimline led spotlights, hard wired, to the wring loom on the reversing lights. Then ran the cable along the interior body work in the wheel well, out through the rubber grommet there and positioned the spotlights in the bottom of the rear bumper. So when I select reverse it throws a great deal if light into the ground and not into anyone behind me Borrowed Grey 2002 3d 204k for a year

I swapped mine out, no problem, and much brighter. I should add back in the days I had an L322. Geoff

Well, I fitted LED reverse lights to both of our L322's and yes, the lights are very much brighter. Are they better reverse lights? Not much to be honest, they're still cra*p. Drives:

Trouble is the reverse lights are in the wrong place too make a difference. When you reverse you look in the wing mirrors and considering the reverse lights are no where near them well it's not surprising they don't make much of a difference I guess

I would second that......

I usually reverse onto my drive, between two black metal gateposts. At night there's an element of guesswork, unfortunate as the gap if I dont fold the mirrors is about 1/2" on each side. For the time being I've started putting the rear fogs on, going to order a couple of reflectors for the posts. If that doesn't help then when I get round to putting a tow-bar on I might use the armature to mount a couple of additional LED lamps.

I don't remember the reverse lights on my first L322 being this bad. 2010 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black
