Thanks pld118, it looks like I may have to bite the bullet. A local independent has quoted £900 which is a lot cheaper but I still have another year on an extended warranty and I am concerned that this will be invalidated if the Indy does the work. |

I was quoted about about £1000 by a reputable local independent for the belt changes. Therefore £1170 to a MD for the belts and service whilst also safeguarding the LR warranty, made for a sound proposition for us 👍🏻 |

As long as your indi can prove they used ONLY Genuine Parts and followed the service schedule then your warrant'ies will remain intact gents... |

Don't want to start another argument, but that's not strictly true It's "parts of similar quality to genuine" which need to be used to maintain warranties While under manufacturers warranty, in the event of an issue, its easier for a claim to have used Genuine parts While outside of manufacturers warranty, but still under a 3rd party warranty, there is no requirement to use Genuine parts, but again, it's easier to have used quality parts than cheap and nasty in the event of a claim ![]() |
