2015 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Santorini Black

Choice of oil for sdv8

Afternoon, any chance anyone has used petronas syntium 5000 fj 5w-30 oil in the sdv8 as it meets all the specs and is a good well known brand.When it gets the 12 month service they use the Shell Helix Ultra Professional AF-L Engine Oil - 5W-30 and i was thinking of using the petronas syntium 5000 fj 5w-30 for an inbetween 6 month oil service which it currently does not get .
Any thoughts or experience of using this oil would be appreciated. Thanks

If the Petronas oil is a Fully Synthetic Engine Oil and says it is ACEA C1 Low SAPS Ford WSS-M2C934 then you can safely use it. If it doesn’t you shouldn’t use it.

Thanks for the replies, has anyone used it, i know there are a few very cheep oils that meet the spec but this one seems to be a very well known brand that meets the spec at a good price. Thanks

If it meets the specifications required it doesn't matter what name is on the label, thats just preference or marketing...

I use Morris of Shrewsbury's version that meets the spec
C1 5W-30 and spec WSS-M2C934 Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
2025MY Defender D350 90 in Silicon Silver on coils
1974 Series 3 Lightweight = "Millie"
Many, many other Landies over the years
