OK I'll admit to one, a trolley for my welder

Not a major infringement of my bankers financial policy but I still got "why did you buy that", "I am getting tired of carrying my welder and gas bottle to work on the RR, so thought this would help to get the job done quicker"
It's not worked but I got away with it.

More worryingly is that I am watching this....

Good job I cant get that drunk to have to explain that.
Do I start watching that scissor lift as well?

However I am watching a Sheet Metal bender and a Shrinker Stretcher, both around the £100 mark. Can I get away with those? Hmmm maybe another whiskey

Having read the last few posts relating to the fear factor / influence / threats / punishment etc from forum members partners, I feel that I should declare that as I do not have a SIWMBO, or a current SWMBO being apprenticed for a possible full time role, there is no fear factor involved for me when internet shopping.

But as I regularly surf the web whilst consuming the odd libation or two,hastening to add that I include some tasty comestibles so that I do not look like a sad old git drinking alone The other fear is looking at the e-mail inbox wondering what the hell is going on, hence the latest incident involving the below -

A floor standing 12 tonne hydraulic press for £211.84, all the way from Deutschland no less. By god it's bleedin heavy My excuse being that it was my birthday when purchased.

Next problem, is where the bloody hell I am going to put it

This sort of thing never ends, as I was taking the photo, I remembered that the larger of the two wooden elephants in the background was purchased ashore somewhere in West Africa, whilst drinking in a seaman's mission bar, possibly in Takoradi if memory serves me right. Most of us bought one as a souvenir, THEN found out that the taxi service had stopped at midnight. We all had to carry the elephants back to the ship.......around 3 to 4 miles away whilst being completely spidered...... which goes to show, age has not made me any wiser

Nearly went for the Nilfisk 160, but now it has to be the 180,
-I’m not having someone with a bigger one than me!

SWIMBO has approved the Nilfisk purchase so now I don’t even have an excuse to indulge in a few glasses of Jam Shed of an evening

I made a case a barrister would have been proud of, explaining that we pay more than £800 a year to other people to wash cars All very good unless I get put on driveway & patio detail V6 Vogue - “Less is More” - less to go wrong!

Brilliant, not only do you have a useful new gadget, but you also have an hour of fun building it up!

As for a horse, we already have one !!!!...it never ends....luckily we are able to borrow a horse box when needed, for the daughter's eventing competitions, so I refuse to look at those when drinking...so far

Do love this thread I started. So my latest one was this

I spent £2k on a bloody mountain bike!!!!!

Next item was this I purchased, think I can live with this for £140. Thought it would be useful for putting the range rover inside when the weather is grim and I need too do work on it.

I built my own electric mountain climber, (partially funded by several drunken purchases), 1650W, 52V, single crank ring, yet 21 speed, 40mph! 😎

errrm, doesn't the law say 250w and 25kph as a maximum Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged 2006

Correct, on highway, which this guy certainly was. I only use my toy off-road. V6 Vogue - “Less is More” - less to go wrong!
