Unable to open Diesel Filter locking ring

2007 MY 3.6 TDV8

Diesel/Fuel Filter locking ring is struck.

Tried everything from all angles, but the locking plastic ring on top is struck so hard, doesnt move.

any tool that can help or any tricks/ideas, please advise.

Have you got a strap type oil filter remover you can use?

which one should i order, chain type or the strap type.

I'd get a strap type mate, less chance of damage.

Have you removed the NS airbox for better access?
2 minutes extra work.

yes, Airbox was removed, its just shut so hard, wont budge.

yes will probably buy the strap ones. Thanks
