United Kingdom

We had this happen with our 1 year old Autobiography. The part was also on back order at the time as well. I called out Land Rover Assist and asked if we could have a courtesy car as it was too uncomfortable to drive which they agreed to give us. Suddenly the part was no longer on back order and the car was fixed within a couple of days. Funny that

I had the same problem on my FFRR. The dealer did a software update on the vehicle two weeks ago and so far it seems to have cured it. 2019 Autobiography SDV8 Byron blue/black - current

I think I have this problem for a second time. Yesterday the massage again starts then just stops. The dashboard and button both say it is still going but it’s not.

I might try the wiggle the wires… SDV8 AB MY 2020

Does anyone know what exactly the fix is for this (if you don't have the extended warranty)?

Is there a specific part which needs replacing in these circumstances?

I am not the best person to answer. Mine has broken again. They are thinking something else is causing the issue. SDV8 AB MY 2020

My new to me SV has this problem with the middle back bag fully inflated and no massage.
So what is the fix?

Just adding to this post.
As above it’s the seat back frame, one unit with the pump and both solenoid valves and all the lines and air bags.

Mine does the same, where it will start and then stop after 5 seconds or so. However I can use the upper body massage but only once and once stopped the whole thing needs a reset by locking and unlocking the car. Once reset I can use the massage and other lumbar function. Massage (upper) only works once. Any other massage just stops after 5 seconds.

I tried switching the seat module but it did not make a difference and have the same issue still.

After 5 seconds or so when it does stop it stops in the middle part of the seat. And gets stuck I even removed some of the pipes from the valve body to deflate the stuck bladder and test but even if it’s not inflating it has the same behaviour of stopping after 5 seconds.

Could it be a software issue? Replacing the whole massage frame doesn’t make sense to me. L405 2021 Range Rover Vogue Autobiography P400e

The frame comes complete but I do have from mine both modules and the pump.
Bags will be fine.
However one module is faulty and no idea which one.
No software will fix it.

@zenman did you replace the frames yourself or did you have a garage do this?

Just wondering how difficult is this and if it’s worth the headache. I mean I have a workaround for the upper body massage so wondering if I should bother with the rest.

Also where exactly is the module within the frame? I thought the modules were under the seats. Next to the seat heater module. L405 2021 Range Rover Vogue Autobiography P400e

I did it myself, it’s a job, 5 hours with two and around £700 in parts.
Module you can see with the seat back off but no chance getting them out.
Pump is inside the seat foam and is also impossible to get at without the seat cover off.

Oh wow that's a lot of time.

Thank you for the details.

I will probably leave it as it is for now and revisit it later. Not the end to the world right now with most other functions still working including the upper body massage.

If you've got more pictures please feel free to share as I am sure that will help a bunch of folks knowing where the little wires, tabs..etc.. are.

Thank you once again. L405 2021 Range Rover Vogue Autobiography P400e
