United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Orkney Grey

I can accept 2nd best for £10k in my pocket. The Ingenium engine puts me off the more I read about it. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Sadly, I'd never buy an Ingenium either, especially when mounted transversely Sad

I think I'm coming back round to the XC60. I can get a late model first version with low miles for around £20k and the spreadsheet of reality says I'll be saving at least £5k per year just in running costs and that doesn't include repairs so it's sobering reading. The Jeeps look interesting and good value but I have doubts about the ride quality for what most of my driving use will be - M-Ways and the XC60 by all accounts is a very comfortable cruiser. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Sat in an new XC60 today and it felt very cramped and had quite a small boot. Transitioning from an L322 is going to be difficult..... 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Still keeping my eye on XC60's and looked at a 2016 the other day which was a bit less plastic fantastic than the 2020 I sat in. Also looking now at the 15-17my 6 speed manual cars as an option. I vowed never to go back to a manual gearbox but the economy of the manual is significantly better than the 6 speed auto which is also reported to be notchy and crude. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Will look at the RX - thanks Also been looking at the Jeep Grand Cherokee but if one of the reasons I want to move from JLR was reliability it may not be sensible.... 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Lol, I have a soft spot for Grand Cherokees as I use to sell them, but TBH not a touch on the FFRR on road - off road pretty capable though. Not as good in the latest models with fiat input IMHO.

Reliability and a dealer who wants to speak to me are part of the reason for considering a Lexus. not quite as engaging as a FFRR but well put together.

If you are looking at XC60 size worth considering the NX as well which gets very good reviews in the latest model.

Cheers,

Great car, don’t know about the economy though. I used to get 30ish out of my D5 diesel.
