they had halogens fitted so there was no warm up period and could be used to flash other drivers . I’d def not fit anything that has to warm up.

I’ve got LEDs in mine, they look much better and are a pretty good match visually. I also got some with LEDs all round to help avoid the directional issue.

I’d say they were better, but it’s not like having a bank of IPF spots like I had on my Classic.

I fitted 50W 4700K (almost same as the bi-xenons) HIDs with a pair of old large ballasts as I've had too many failed slimline ballasts. The lights point too close in front for the bright HIDs, presumably because the original lights are so poor compared with the bi-xenons that they need to be low. To correct the beam the tabs on my HID globes are bent slightly forwards to get the beam where it needs to be for country driving.

Flashing still flashes the bi-xenons and I'd rather not dazzle others with my HIDs which put the bi-xenons to shame once warm.

Can't shift the covers to change them - feels like someone has glued them on. Is there knack like pressing and twisting ? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
