Afternoon all,

Wife just went out in the fattie and about 5 mins later was back to change cars.

The ofs wiper is stuck in the vertical position and the near side is parked. I haven’t had a good look under there yet as it is p33ing down

Anyone has this or got any idea which bit of the mechanism I need to target please?

Decided I needed to get out there despite the rain.

Here’s the culprit. Arm had jammed behind the n/s spindle

Trouble is now I’m not sure the cup on the arm and the wiper are very secure now. Just in time for winter.

As a temporary fix, put some polythene sheet over the ball then press into the socket with a decent pair of pliers, you'll need to replace the linkage assembly soon though.

Happened to me this summer while on holiday and managed to bodge it but it's secure so won't come off but loose and the wiper hits the A pillar so just ordered this kit;

This happened to my L322 a couple of years ago. The ball and socket wears and eventually pops out. The indy gave me a retaining clip that holds both together.

Added some polythene and the ball clicked into the socket with a satisfying thunk but I suspect it won't last long. Ordered some of those clips (thanks Stuart) to see if they will work
