Hi

After all the heavy rain I noticed my upper tailgate seemed to be filling with water and then drenching me with water when I opened it. I can't see any blocked drain holes, but it appears that a retaining clip of some sort is missing from one of the two rubber wiring ducts that go form the body shell into the top of the tailgate. It is a piece of rigid plastic, L-shaped with a scallop cut out of one side to allow it to fit around the duct. The non-scalloped side seems to cover a hole in the tailgate trim where I suspect the water is coming in.

I have tried to find the part number or a parts diagram online but to no avail. It seems a simple job to fit it and I would rather not have to pay a dealer £50 plus parts to do it if at all possible...

Can anyone help with a part number or a suitable parts diagram?

Thanks but it’s the fixing that goes onto the rubber cable duct at the top of the upper tailgate I need. These ones are for the body shell side of things. I have found a parts diagram but it doesn’t show the part I need so it might be MY17 specific?

Here are two photos of the offending parts:

The first one with the arrow shows the left hand side duct with what I can best describe as the grommet retaining clip in place (marked with an arrow). This is the missing part.

The images in the online parts catalogue do not always accurately depict the parts and sometimes the descriptions can be somewhat bizarre also!

It does seem that item 14603A (part no LR042890) is the part you require. The parts diagram shows one by each of the two loom sections that pass through the tailgate.

Thanks for the part number. Indeed when I put it into the Interweb photos come up showing what looks to be the correct part. Three just ordered from John Craddock (assuming I break at least one of them!) so will let you know.
