England 2013 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Luxor
L322 gear selection problems.

3.6 SDV8 Diesel 2008. 60k miles.
Gear selector in Park ok. Drops back into Reverse ok, you have drive. Into Neutral ok.
Selector won’t go back any further, even though the light beside the selector shows D. The dash board display shows neutral. But no drive. It sometimes shows Transmission fault. Occasionally, if you select the manual option, D comes up on the dash, and you have forward drive.
Any thoughts please. 2013 SDV8 4.4 SE Luxor.
1960 Series 2 88 inch diesel.
1955 Series 1 86 inch petrol.

Sounds like the age-old problem of the swivelling clamp on the selector arm not swivelling...
Get underneath with the selector in park, note the position of the arm on the 'box, remove the arm and the swivel clamp on the cable, clean it all up and rebuild with some decent grease - not copperslip!
