Charging system fault

A week or so I got a charging system full error, which has now gone, but getting continuous low battery messages now on my two year old 405. Auto close in the boot not working, etc .Can’t believe I’m getting errors like this on a two year old car. Any ideas?

Had Charging Fault on mine after 2 months of ownership, LRA found the Gateway module running a low level of code, upgraded it, not seen it since.

Happy old thread bump.

My 2018MY of 3 days ownership is showing a charging system fault, I need to go 50 miles the other way to the dealers in the morning, how likely is it to let me down?

Tailgate is working fine under its own steam as that seems to a barometer of battery condition (it hashed good few runs in the last few days as I've been going the long way everywhere) First time FFRR owner

If you've got a mulitmeter, take a reading from the battery when the cars running, anything from 13 volts upwards is good.

Don't know whether you bought it from an franchised dealer or not, if you did it should have an LR warranty, call LR assist they'll come out and read the codes and upgrade any modules that are down revision.

Checked the voltages, engine not running, battery is at 12.36v which I thought may be a touch low, engine running it was at 15.2v which I thought maybe a bit high.

Hopefully this means it can go back and be mended in more slow time than on the back of a truck of shame. First time FFRR owner
