So…..all going ok so far but how in all that’s holy do you remove injector 4?!? There is a gnats whisker of clearance! Also same again for the engine mount - access is a pig!! 2007 Range Rover Vogue 3.6 TDV8

Perseverance... standard tools will do it, there is no magic fix, I did use a small air ratchet on mine but a hand ratchet will work, just slower.

I’m thinking - if I loosen all the injector bolts, and inlet manifold bolts, would it just pull straight up and out?

Or do I have to remove all injectors first then manifold?

Injectors first, they sit in the cylinder head by some distance so you can't 'cheat' them out by lifting with the manifold. Don't be tempted to split the rear one, it'll never work properly, despite what you may read on the internet....

Thanks for this Phoenix - how much did you have to Jack the engine up? Also these parts - LR019118 - where do they fit?? 2007 Range Rover Vogue 3.6 TDV8

I'm about to do the same to mine! does anyone have a part number for the injector seat seals?
I've looked at the fuel lines to the injectors and they are all in decent shape so I'm hoping I can get away with not coughing up an extra 90 quid per injector for the fitting kit.
I have part numbers for everything I need other than the seals (I think!)
got to fix the wife's Volvo first then jumping onto this. Let us know how it went.

Not an excessive amount, the engine mount needs about 50mm of separation from memory, the 'O' rings are to replace the ones on the injector leak-off pipe, the bit that pushes into the injector. Make sure you refit the 'R' clips to the injectors before you put the injectors back in the cylinder head.

The profile seal comes with the cover/inlet manifold, as does new fasteners.

All replaced and new fuel leak off line in. However it will not start - does anybody have any ideas to next step?

Engine will only turn over - however it will not fire!

When I did mine- the engine wouldn’t start for ages- to the point the battery died- assuming everything is connected- it seemed to take a little while to build fuel pressure sufficient enough to start it 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE

Well being the simpleton that I am, when cranking it over I started to smell diesel…….look underneath to see the oily stuff dripping on to the drive.

Covers back off, hvac plenum out again, leak off pipe shields out etc to see an injector not quite seated properly (fine mist/locomotive chuffing sound on idle) and a fuel feed pipe not quite tightened enough.

Did all that - all back together and boom. Engine start! And must say sounds very smooth!

I did have my ctek on it over night as the previous day I had nearly drained it.

I plan to do a very village idiot (me) style write up with pics etc and part codes. Stay tuned - and thanks again to all for the words of wisdom and shared knowledge - it has been invaluable. 2007 Range Rover Vogue 3.6 TDV8
