2012 Fault - Cruise Not Available / Speed Control Module

Hi there,

I have an anoying fault thats been with me for the last 6 month, I've finally got around to try and solve it.

There are two Dash Warning Messages and of course the Adaptive Cruise Control does not work.
With the GAP IID3 - I have the following mesage in the Fault Log.

Does anybody have experiance of solving this fault and also know where the SPeed Control Module is located ?

The module is behind the front bumper just inwards from the right headlight. You might want to check the fuse in the engine bay fuse box (fuse 17, 10A).

Yes, the bumper has to be removed.

Can anybody point me at the method or manual for this ?

I can't find any reference to the 'Speed Control Module' within the Workshop Service Manual. Perhaps its under a different name ? -------------------------------------

Perhaps described as the adaptive speed control module. Attached is the wiring schematic.

Does anybody have either of the following documents for the L322 2010 onwards RHD ?
- Connector Quick Reference Guide
- Range Rover Electrical Library

I’m trying to track the locations of connectors C3618 / C3619 and C2145

Many thanks, -------------------------------------

Many thanks GraemeS.

I’m still trying to track down the problem with MY2012
GAP IID Fault Report.
- U0104-00 (2F) Lost communication with speed control module

I was not sure where those cables route from and to, under the Front Bumper ?

Do you have any other information, pictures, wiring Dia etc you can point me to ? -------------------------------------

I don't have any pictures but the wiring diagram is attached. Mine wasn't originally fitted with ACC and there was a dummy plug in the harness socket clipped to the panel behind the bumper (nothing to do with the bumper) where the radar unit mounts and into which the radar unit's link harness fits.

If the 10A fuse #17 in the engine fuse panel is intact and the 5A fuse #6 in the passenger fuse panel is intact then the bumper will need to be removed to check the connectors and wiring. The radar unit itself could be faulty.

IIRC my biggest issue with R&R'ing the bumper was dealing with the screws at the lower edge of the wheel-arch just behind the liner, that is once I found the screws near the fog-lights.

Just checked the Fuses again #17 and #6 and they are good. So I was just wondering if there is anyway to get to the AAC Control Unit without removing the bumper ? Perhaps from behind the wheel watch liner ?

By the way - I have also pasted below my IID Faults invade there may be a correlation between other Fault Messages. ?

Does anybody have any other thoughts on those Fault Messages ?

The radar unit's bracket is bolted to the front of part# LR020912 in line with its RH bracket. Some access might be possible from underneath the bumper if the front undertrays are removed, possibly if just the small RH triangular cover is removed.
