If you map it out then it should stay in its closed position forever more... This will mean it can't fail in the future in a partially open position... |

It’s not even tested for during MOT! And I maybe wrong here but I understand it’s not necessary to have it? So not against regs to not have an EGR. Whereas a CAT & DPF are legislated and MOTable (if only visually) |

Interesting. I hear so many old wives stories about EGRs.
