I have an L322 2007MY TDV8 with a 6HP26. I want to swap it an 8HP70, taken from a 4.4 TDV8 2011MY. I understand that this is not straightforward.
I bought the 8HP70 and immediately sent the torque converter for refurbishment.

I am looking for people who have already done this for the exchange of experiences.

I know that this transmission has been swapped into the Sport with the TDV8. The mechanical part of the process poses no difficulties. The problem is only in the communication of the control units. I am considering purchasing a CANTCU module, I have talked to the developers. They want to see the recording of the CAN bus logs to answer whether their device can link the 8HP70 with the Siemens SID203 ECU 3.6 TDV8.

AFAIK, it can't be done with a pre-2010MY car

I enquired about converting my TDV8 D3, but there is no option unless it's a 2010 or newer

But there is a nuance. If this is not so, and there is no way to check, then the car will turn into real estate. He refused to sell the program.

And I bought a device that can record CAN-BUS data packets. CANFORMANCE Enginering sent me a table with a description of the tests that needed to be recorded, they called it a testsheet.
I did everything and am waiting for the results from their side.
