SATNAV Question

Hello All,
2017 L405 AB:
Odd behaviour from onboard SATNAV yesterday - The system booted up, accepted search, but refused to update position of car as I was driving. I drove about 20 miles and screen still showed original starting position.
I performed a couple of brief ignition cycles - and got the same result.
I then parked up for about 15 minutes and on return to the car, everything was fine, as if I'd imagined the whole thing Very Happy
Any ideas what might have caused this? Car is still under warranty, so if the SATNAV aerial, or other module is on the way out, I'm keen to get the local stealer to investigate whilst I'm still covered.

Thanks in advance L405 2017 TDV6 AB

Likely just a voltage spike, even with no GPS signal, the position should update using the composite speed signal & steering angle signal and 'snap' to the nearest road, get it checked out (and if it occurs again, get your passenger to video the concern) - even if they say 'unable to reproduce concern, no fault found' it will have been reported in warranty so should be resolved 'as if in warranty' if the concern becomes permanent later, this is often the case with sporadic faults that can't be replicated at time of test.

Hi Phoenix,
Oh great tip to video the problem if it occurs again, saves the endless “can’t replicate” argument!
Thanks for that. L405 2017 TDV6 AB
