Is the muffler fitment the same on the 4.2 as the rest?

Late night musings.

I have a the 4.2 SC which I adore however I've never been a fan of the long exhaust pipes and much prefer the hidden pipes on the TDV8's. Is the pipe diameter and mounting bracket position the same? If so, is there any reason that a diesel back box (or aftermarket pipes) wouldn't fit a 4.2SC? 2006 L322 Vogue SE 4.2
