No, but the instructions say to renew the paper gasket to prevent moisture ingress into the cabin.

They are sold as complete units including the mounting bracket. I fitted Bilstein because they were significantly cheaper than genuine LR even though sourced ex UK. |

I fitted Bilstein. You still need the paper gaskets from LR…. That didn’t come with mine.

As the gaskets aren't included in the component diagram for the shock I wouldn't expect any genuine or after-market shock to include them. |

Just because it's leaking doesn't mean it needs replacing. There is a service buletin about leaks and the need to not be concerned. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

That's called 'jacking' when the rebound damping is more than the compression damping and the strut effectively shortens. Mine have been damp for the last 2 years / 30K miles but still do their job and are now on 160+k miles 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |
