Stupid Question....

My Courtesy light (in the middle) comes on when Open the doors. Am I right to think there should be map lights either side of this? If so, how do you turn them on and off....?

On my car the lights are switched on and off by touching the lens. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Thanks CS. Maybe I have two blown bulbs as that doesn't work for me...

They are LED's so unlikley to have them fail, check if the vanity mirrors light up when you slide the mirror flap across, if not there's an unfused protected output suplying voltage to this circuit that includes map lights, vanity mirrors and some ambient lighting. Common fault is a trapped cable to the sun visor(s) which the BCM detects and shuts down the voltage until the fault is rectified - ask me how I know!!

If you have a code reader it will flag a code and in some instances the protected outputs need to be re-enabled.

Hope this helps L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division.

I think you’re onto something 4RRS.

The vanity mirror lights are also not working. I recently had the screen replaced, so I’m wondering if they’ve trapped a cable. I’ve asked auto glass to come back and check.

I looked for an error code, but only have a basic icarsoft one, so couldn’t see any failures on it.

I think the auto dimming function of the rear view mirror is also on the same circuit and they would have removed that, I'll check the diagram when I get a moment. L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division.
