Usually the numbers are printed under the flap on the socket |

Yes you could wire a feed from the tow bar electrics, either plugging into the socket or tapping into the cables inside the boot.

Wonder if some of the thin linear DRL fittings you see on Fleabay would mount alongside the standard reverse lamps?
