2007 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.2 SC V8 Stornoway Grey

If its got the motor and wiring to the motor you definitely have an ediff.

Regarding your previous service history, I reckon you should take it with a big pinch of salt 🤔

Yep I know the garage and do not either rate or trust it. There is no motor on the diff but it has wires going in and topix states it has an ediff and this garage apparently replaced the fluid with stated non ediff fluid.

Looking at the fill and drain plugs I don't think they have ever been out Shocked

Started on the full service today was front brakes and oil n filter. The front brakes have been making a noise os front I checked and cleaned them up last week which pretty much sorted the noise. I new the front pads were about half worn if not a little more.

Old pads compared to new. I had to fit pagid iv had issue with them in the past but they were the best of a bad bunch. If I get any issues I get a full refund and go genuine. Research suggests jurid are oem.

Well the pagid pads are dusty as hell a squel like mad so I got a full refund. I'm gonna pull the pads out and try some brake grease on the backing plate old style.
Other than that it's running well still got the hole to braze on the aircon pipe and regas it before my trip to Eypres in Belgium next month.

Got round to fixing the air con leak. Having found the leak on the hp line right down in the back of the engine bay and realising I was never going to get that aircon pipe off to braze it I decided to do a line repair instead. Iv had success in the past.

If you look close you can just about see it.

Popped into my mates this morning and plugged it into his machine it passed the vac test OK. Gassed it but it didn't take all the gas it should he vacced it out and redid it....hey Presto it took all 900 grams .

Result ice cool car Thumbs Up

Installed Brembro pads these are old stock from ECP before they started selling the crap ones made under licence using the brembo name. Let's see how these do.

New nuts I had 1 to many swollen nuts and the locking nuts have seen better days. I did want the satin black I think they look OK against the shadow chrome.

Cars now ready for the trip after an inside and outside clean. One more tyre pressure and fluid check tomorrow and we're good to go.

Short trip completed approx 360 miles round trip visiting ypres, Belgium. Filled the car up this side 20 mpg. Thankfully no mishaps and very happy with fully working aircon. We left the car parked in ypres town square while we had lunch when we came back outside temp on the car was 42.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Baltic Blue

With ice cold air con that must have been a nice way to do that trip!

I fancy going to the continent in the car but the wife isn't keen. Biggest problem for us is there's a days travel to get to the port in the UK unless we sail from Newcastle to Amsterdam.

Return ticket on the ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam for the car, caravan, 2 adults and a 2 year old was over £3k last time I looked though!
