My new Range Rover… L322 4.4tdv8 Vogue.


Picked this up last week and am already hooked… such a lovely drive. Takes some getting used to as this is my first 4x4 let alone Range Rover.

Please excuse the pictures, a frosty morning and dirty roads aren’t showing it at its best.

A newbie question if I may? One of many no doubt but I’ll start small 😀

It has a Westfalia tow hook. Missing the actual tow hook and the assembly is rusting…. As I have no use for it I wondered if it is an easy job to just remove it. I assume it was a dealer fit option? Seems to just bolt in place but am I missing something? Will it mess up the electrics for instance if I just unplug them?

Edit: I’ve just found a video on removing it and it doesn’t look straightforward at all!!

You will be missing some bits if you just remove it. There are a couple of bars which come off when you fit the bar. They would need to go back on.

Electrics could just be unplugged I suspect. Personally, I would just tidy it up with some black paint and leave it alone. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I think you can get a bung to go in the square hole. I even think you can get an aftermarket LED reversing light too…..
