Rear suspension looks collapsed (but isn't!)

Hi all,

Hoping you can help with the below. Front bags replaced a few months ago, I understood rear bags were (relatively) bulletproof. Woke up this morning with the rear sagging slightly. Did the old leave in off road mode overnight and it resulted in this hilarious configuration, arse down nose up:

Anyway, I got in - suspension fault displayed. Drives fine. No hissing from bags. I watched a video from my house CCTV and it clearly shows the car lower over 30 seconds but only at the rear, about 3 hours after locking. This is the periodic wake up check if level system I believe. Leaving in access mode the difference is clearly less obvious and does not result in suspension fault error when starting - it just raises up.

Leads me to think it is a sensor. Going into IID, I have below error:

RLM-Suspension
* C1A74-1C (2E) Rear left height sensor mechanism - General electrical failure - circuit voltage out of range
( on 01-05-2025 04:39:08 at 216747 km )
* C1A05-1C (2E) Rear left height sensor - General electrical failure - circuit voltage out of range
( on 01-05-2025 08:42:04 at 216747 km )

The below screenshots show the voltage readings if helpful:

My question is, for those in the know:

1. Is this safe to drive like this for now (presuming the suspension levels prior to setting off, which it does)
2. Is this definitely just a simple height sensor replacement? If so why is the voltage normal? It was fluctuating slightly more than the right side on IID, the right side being a rock steady voltage - but the readings are similar as you can see.

Thoughts appreciated!

Thanks in advance as always. L322 2007 S/C 4.2L (first full fat)

Looks like you do have a height sensor problem, but to eliminate a leak, put it in off road height then disconnect the battery and leave it over night, if it goes down you have a leak, if it doesn’t it’s more likely to be electrical, hopefully the sensor Thumbs Up

Is it possible that the arms have flipped over on the sensors to be the wrong way round when you’ve been doing work ? V8 or else ...

My vehicle did very similar, but lowered at the front and raised the rear. It turned out to be a faulty height sensor. Found the culprit by removing each sensor arm in turn, and moving them throughout their range whilst monitoring the voltage on the iid tool . The voltage should be a smooth transition with no spikes.

Wouldn't a faulty height sensor not show up on the 4x4 display in the head unit?
One of the corners would show out of level. ---------------------------------
