Transmission issues when cold, which disappear once warmed up, often relate to a low fluid level. Might be worth checking? You have the GM 5L40-E transmission, which uses Dexron fluid.

The most critical factor is that the engine must be ticking over while the level is set, otherwise the fluid in the torque converter drains down into the sump and produces an artificially high fluid level.
