Need help with whining noise | |
I am wondering whether there is any experience with the issues that I am experiencing as neither my mechanic nor myself can appropriately diagnose the issue.
The issue at hand:
Previously I had this whining noise, which was audible only at speeds above 30 kmh, and it was periodical. Periodical as in, not always occurring, some times it did not happen, and some times it did.
Now, 2 days ago, my mechanic removed the handbrake assembly from the rear end, as it was previously thought that it was the issue. Additionally, they stated that they cleared some mud out of the bearing.
After this work being done, the sound has increased tenfold and now no longer is periodical. Whenever road speeds surpass 30kmh, the sound is audible, and can be heard at any music volume setting.
Research is pointing towards multiple possible sources such as differential bearings, CV joint guard issues, bearing issues, etc. But nothing concrete.
Thus, I am wondering if anyone has experienced a similar issue, and whether they found a solution to it?
Thanks
