An interesting question. I don't know but one imagines that eventually there wouldn't be sufficient flow and pressure for the low pressure pump so it would throw a P0087 or similar and go in to limp/restricted performance.

Diesel also acts as a lubricant in the HP pump and possibly it would eventually damage it. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue |

Got the central console apart at last. A switch on the brake sensor earth would prevent starting and this is buried under the dash. Also the earth to the gear selector woud stop it being moved although I still don't like the idea of the engine being started so may do this as a backup. After some research the main weakness once anyone gets in the is the OBD socket as it's easy to create a new key so this will be also moved and made inaccessible. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |
