Does vehicle drop to normal ride height after period oftime?

I was thinking about doing a bit of languard-ing to the underside of my car and was wondering if I set the suspension to the highest off-road setting to give me access to the underneath, will it stay like this or will the suspension drop back to normal over time and flatten me? I have some axle stands which I can put under just incase but yeah just wondering if this is a thing or if it will stay where you set it?

Axle stands every time, you just don’t know when something might give. Lost a good chum last year.

It ‘should’ stay up but DONT risk it.

Axle stands on all four corners. There’s no way you’d hold it up
If it failed and you might not have time to slide out.
