4.2SC - Full Restoration

Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster.

Got myself a 4.2SC but it needs so much doing to it, I’m a little overwhelmed. Was hoping others could guide me on best route to take to start chipping away at it.

Here’s what I need to do as I see it.

- New rear driver knuckle (broke it trying to move it)
- New suspension arms front
- New suspension arms rear
- New discs brakes front
- New discs brakes rear
- New brake lines
- Bleed brakes
- New timing belts
- Full service
- Gearbox service
- New battery
- Paint rear arches
- New vents
- New grille
- New wing mirrors
- New badges

Any help, including videos greatly appreciated. Doesn’t appear a lot of massive refurbs have been put on YouTube that I can find. Lots for the Disco / Sport…

I note one of your jobs is paint rear arches. Are they showing signs of corrosion bubbling? If so it may be a good idea to remove the plastic trims/ sill covers to see the extent of the corrosion before investing too much time and money in it.

Cross off timing belts, chain driven, should be gtg

The rest is relatively easy, although suspension components can be a bit difficult due to corrosion.

Good luck sorting it out 👍
