United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey
Strange thing happened the other day..

I unlocked the car using my wifes key and the drivers seat and mirrors adjusted themselves. I then used my key and the seat returned back to it's previous setting.
I checked the owners handbook and it is indeed a programmable feature. The reason why it's strange is because it's never done it before and it doesn't do it now! Unfortunately, it appears to be a one off and hasn't done it since Sad

Looks like an electrical glitch somewhere that needs addressing. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Not sure about your MY, but with mine (and my D3 before that) you need to try the following:

1. Unlock car with your keys.
2. Set the seat, steering wheel and side mirrors to your position.
3. Store this as Memory 1 on the seat.
4. Lock the car with your key.
5. Unlock with SWMBO's key.
6. Move seat etc to her position.
7. Store this as Memory 1 on the seat.
8. Lock the car with SWMBO's key.

Now, when you unlock with your keys it should go to your seat/mirror position. When SWMBO uses her keys .... well, you can guess the rest.

(Each key has its own settings, which is why you can store two sets of seat memories)

Point 7 above should read Memory 1, as per my post. Wink

Each key stores Memory 1, 2, 3 separately, so with 2 keys you can store 6 seat positions.

I know what the manual states it SHOULD do etc but I've always had the impression the key takes the settings from the last time it was in use. That's why for example, the CD disc playing is different when I swap keys, it remembers what I was listening to last time on that key.

I've not done exhaustive tests on the memory thing, as SWMBO never drives my car, but we do have a seat memory setting for her all set up in case of emergencies so there is no faffing about. Discovery 4 HSE
