Do I need to replace all 4 brake sensors?

Just to be safe, am just about to replace both front and rear discs and pads, having had the red warning light come on for a brake sensor alert.

Question is: Is this just one brake sensor activated or do all have to be replaced when replacing the discs/pads etc.??

I replaced my disks and pads 2 months ago.
My first surprise was that I only have one sensor for front pads, and on for rear pads. I only have the front one dead, I can re-use the rear one as the contacts were not used.

I don't know it is normal to have only 2 sensors, but I didn't see wires on the opposites sides...

Be carefull removing them as most will shatter as the plastic gets brittle with age and heat,,,

The vehicle only needs one sensor - reason being the pads are supposed to wear at the same rate in normal conditions 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Yes, works well that system, except when they don't wear at the same rate, which is what caused a three hour ride in a big yellow taxi on my way back from Scotland! Censored Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!
