United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 V8 Baltic Blue

Hi, I'm Martin, Picked up a new Westminster in Baltic Blue with ivory interior.

It's my first Range Rover and having come over from BMW I can't believe how accomplished the car is at eating miles. I have the Eastnor experience booked in October where I'll have my eyes opened even more.

One very happy new owner! Very Happy

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zermatt Silver

Hi there everyone - just thought I'd say hello to all as a newbie.

Currently running a 59 Vogue SE and am very happy with it, although new tyres are on the horizon imminently Big Cry

A long history of the mighty beast in my family - I learnt to drive in a brown 3 door classic, (JDM567K, IIRC!) dragging hay bales out of the field circa 11 years old Very Happy crikey, 1985 I reckon Laughing ! The folks had a green 5 door classic after that, then a bunch of other stuff. I bought a fantastic P38 around 2 years ago before 'upgrading' to the L322.

The new beast is a "keeper", and will be used as my day-to-day motor, as well as trundling around the fields to shoot stuff and the occasional splash around some mud.

Cheers, everyone, happy to be here! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

England 2006 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Hi all

A quick one to say Hi, been lurking as a guest for a while now!! Total newbie to this forum malarky too so please forgive any faux pas whilst I get used to it all.

Been sat on the ownership fence for a veeeeeeerry long time.. anyway I've finally taken the plunge and got a 56 plate 3.6TDV8 Vogue SE.

Had it a few weeks now and been doing a few jobs on it and I'm still driving it sat like a coiled spring listening for knocks and strange (meaning - expensive) noises!! A familiar past time for some I'm sure!!

This is a great site and I'll look forward to adding my little bit...already got some photos ready for a "how to guide" or two so watch out for those, hopefully it will buy me a few "dumb-ass" question credits!!

cheers for now ...Always time for a brew !!

Ireland

hiya, another newbie lurker here, just sitting on the fence getting ready for my first FF RR purchase, I'm soaking up as much as I can on the forum and browsing the likes of autotrader and ebay etc. to get a good feel for the market before I take the plunge.

I'm from the UK originally, but living in Ireland at the moment with an Irish wife and 13 month old baby.

The FF will be replacing my old faithful 1996 2.8L Pajero Exceed which is sadly coming to the end of it's life. Sad

My current thoughts are to start off by trying on a nice tidy 2002 V8 Vogue for a while and see how it fits and then maybe work my way up to a fully loaded supercharged 2007 Vogue SE maybe next year, assuming all goes well with the first one. Smile

I also think that LPG is the way forward, although there aren't that many garages selling it in Ireland yet, the popularity of LPG with Ireland's immigrant population from eastern europe (plus the price of petrol) means that it's getting more and more popular all the time.

So that's me then! hopefully I'll have some news of a FF purchase in the not to distant future to come and tell you all about.

2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zermatt Silver
Newbie in a TDV8

Evening boys and girls

Just thought I'd introduce myself. Have recently purchased my 1st Range Rover, it's a 07 TDV8 VOGUE SE in silver with black leather and black (piano?) trim.

Love the car and can't wait every morning to drive it. Only downside is it can be a bit erm unladylike like getting in and out in a skirt. Any ladies out there have any tips on how to get out without showing more than you intended too?

Gayle xx

Welcome all. Thumbs Up

Gayle, with regard the somewhat sensitive issue of a lady accessing a FFRR (please excuse the images in my - and probably many others' - heads right now that your question proposes...), my wife dresses in long flowing skirts that allow the required posture for access without compromising one's modesty in any way.

Access height in the FFRR may also be employed, but my wife never uses this - and she's 5ft 4" or a trifle taller in heels.

I gather a similar problem may be solved when access and egress are required in lower cars? (cue those mental images again... Mr. Green ) Once more, our considerably lower Mercedes poses such an issue and my wife solves this in the same way.

Mick - trousers?! Really man, get a grip!! Laughing Our ladies (and maybe their female passengers) should be encouraged to wear skirts to show off their shapely legs and figures more. Thumbs Up Si. <This is my name.

I eat rat poison.

A man ain't truly been insulted until he stands buck naked in front of a woman and she didn't even notice. Or care.

Thanks for the warm welcome Thumbs Up

Joker..... Inferior sex, cheeky Censored lol

I have tried lowering the access height and it helps a little although it still didn't stop me flashing my stocking tops at a man in Sainsbury's car park the other day! Still he didn't seem to mind lol.
