Well i'm sold!

Well i've been out on 2 test drives this week and have decided that a tdv8 vse is the car for me. Its the first time i've driven a luxury4wd and it actually left me with a daft smile so must have been good! Very Happy

I thought that black would have been my first choice - but seeing them in the flesh has left me hankering for a silver or stornoway like rruk's.

looks like finding a nice clean car could be easier said than done. most look to be quite worn inside, scratched leather etc.

the final spec i've decided on is rr vse silver/stornoway, black (jet?) leather, piano black trim, privacy glass. picky eh!

and so the hunt for the right car begins. Wink

United Kingdom 2019 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Santorini Black

ATC, nothing wrong with that choice Thumbs Up

It is a stunning colour combo and really feels special (IMO)

Good luck with your search, if you need any help just ask. There is bound to be one or two small issues but things can be fixed via the warranty.

thanks chaps. i'm looking to spend about 40, but may stretch a touch for the right vehicle. hopefully this will get me what i'm looking for - 57 plate ish with nice low mileage. is it worth the extra for a land rover sold vehicle? do you think that dealers will go for a deal? - the couple i have been to look at have supposedly got a queue of people wanting to buy.

if you see anything i'm all ears

thanks Thumbs Up

alex

The Buckingham Blue/Parchment RR is exactly like mine and its a nice combination. Great mileage but just a tad pricey.....

thanks for the reply fellas - first silver car looks ok - but not so sure on the ahem - big wheels!. blue car looks really tasty, but i'm set on a silver one. interior wise i need black due to my job etc.

my ideal spec is vogue se, silver / grey metallic, privacy glass, black leather and black inserts. I am intending on keeping this for a while so want to get the right vehicle.

http://www.guysalmon.stockport.landrover.co.uk/ they have got an se for sale on the home page. what do you think price wise?

http://www.christopherjacksonltd.com/vehic...0TDV8%20SE - right combination but seems a bit pricey and might have scuffed leather on drivers seat.

what is your opinion on the lr warranty - is it worth it? i'm worried about picking a problem car and having trouble

due to all the electric gizmos on the car.

I would definitely go with a Grey rather than Silver car.

Stornoway Grey is the best FFRR colour as it matches the grey trim on handles and grilles without even trying too and so many people think that Silver is boring and just too "Normal" .

I would add 2010 Wheels and S/C Grille & Vents together with Chrome Mirror covers (No other Chrome) to complete the look on a Grey Car.

oh and of course the Stornoway 2010:

is it me? but that 2010 above looks like its snout has drooped and it needs a facelift - the bumper looks too deep at the sides - or is it the angle of the pic??

I thought the very same thing. You compare 2010 to older models side by side, and it looks pants. Whistle Java with Ivory 2006 4.2 Supercharged. 23.5k miles - NOW SOLD!
