Thought I should say hello, I have come across from the Disco4 site (my car) and have been so pleased with it I thought it was about time I should treat the wife. My only worry being if I do find one I am going to prefer it to my D4 which I never thought I would say about any car.

Cheers

Alastair

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Santorini Black

Hi all,

I'm new here, recently bought a Silver 52 plate Vogue that has had a 2006 facelift conversion. Lovely car, had a few issues to sort when I bought it (new alternator and battery) but I'm really enjoying the car now.

I was advised to join the forum by a member who came to the side steps that I removed when I bought the car.

Had a look around the forum and wiki, lots of great info on here Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Alveston Red

Hi, just bought a 2003 Vogue 4.4 having had a P38 for the last 5 years and a disco and a series 2a before that.
Vogue has 103,000 miles on it and seems in pretty good condition.
So far I've found the following problems:-
Rear lower tailgate catches not latching without using the manual releases.
Rear headrest screens not working at all.
Steering column reach adjustment not working.

So, a little fettling needed but not too bad.
I would also like to get a bluetooth replacement for the phone, maybe get a freeview receiver and a reversing camera. I also have to get a towbar fitted.
Cheers,
Dave.

Question Rolling Eyes

poppie I think you have the previous range rover model.... but welcome to our site anyway.... search for 'land rover rave download'. it's huge, and free, it not at some links, but its there somewhere. but has all the workshop manuals on it. or you could search ebay and buy a cd rom one for a few dollars/pounds like about £3

lastly, keep a good eye on your water/coolant level

Australia 2008 Range Rover SE TDV8 Chawton White
G"Day from Oz

Hi, I have just joined and hope to be educated on all things RRS. I have bought a second hand 2008 RRS with the TDV8 and it has a dual battery system, Traxide isolator, rear fridge and other 12v outlets, rear Anderson plug, roof bars and detachable alloy rack, HD tow bar (not the plough) 19" alloys with Cooper 255/55/19 Zeon LTZ tyres, VMS GPS and reverse camera, and a performance tune to 248kw and 780nm. Previously I have had a Puma Defender and am appreciating the upgrade in power and comfort as our 4WD is moving away from the ultra modified and towards more off road caravan touring. Soon to come are a cargo barrier, front sheepskin covers and possibly a LLAMS system. I have attached some pics - enjoy. Regards, Marty

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

Hi all,

Well I've been a LR fan for more years than I'll admit to with many numerous LR Series II, IIa's through to my last one, a fully loaded Disco II 4.0 V8 ES which was bought of the King of Jordan after he sadly died, which was 2 years old with 500 miles on the clock.

This summer I was looking to upgrade to a D3 7 seater to assist with the kids Taxi service and ended up buying a 56 reg Java Black 4.2 Supercharged Full Fat. What a machine......

On the 2nd day was booked for speeding, 3rd day sheared the TPS valve from the stem trying to remove the dust cap just before we were about to go away for the weekend. That jack and wheel brace that had never been used before......

Then 2 months later pulled up at the local bike shop, switched off the ignition and all was totally silent. Didn't think too much of it until I tried to put the key back in the ignition and it wouldn't turn Sad

Walked back home and got the spare key - no joy. Walked the other way to get new battery's for the keys - still no joy. Sat in the dead car on the iPad looking for clues, thats when I discovered this forum. By the time my wife came to collect me suddenly the key turned and we were back in action, only to get a front right puncture. My local tyre bloke now hates the compressor stowed in the spare tyre well - as do I......

I only put 35K on my Disco in 12 years of ownership and other than servicing it (local LR would do a loyalty discount) and tightening up the wipers which were loose first time it rained it only ever needed two new tyres. The FFRR is well on it's way to exceeding this.

One thing I will say is the 4.2 SC is so much more economical than the 4.0 Disco V8, even in noisy right foot mode;-) The Disco was superb off road and if AWDC can arrange another drive-a-round - I'll be there.....

Stuart
