Ipod and Bluetooth Streaming

I've been spoilt on a previous car and am trying to find a way to get this working on a RR 2005 Vogue.

From my research, the only real Ipod connection that works properly is the Landrover one, which looks a bit of a pain, but not too much of a challenge to install.

I use an Iphone 5 so the connections that the Landrover kit delivers will be pretty much useless.

So has anyone tried one of these (or similar) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Noosy-30-Pin-Blu...566474e507 in conjunction with the kit?

I suspect that may deliver the result, but am not keen on spending that much cash without fully investigating the solution....

Regards

David

I had the genuine ipod kit installed in my old RR and used apple genuine 30 pin adapter for the iphone 5 and it worked perfectly no issues at all. Thumbs Up

but that means keeping the phone in the glovebox?

As I've not yet resolved a missing phone book I might not want to do that....

No, I had the lead hanging out of the glovebox with the adapter on the end. Then used my tetrax magnet to hang the phone on dash. Thumbs Up

What's your budget ?

Do you already have a line input anywhere ?

Do you care about getting anything displayed on the monitor - track name / artist etc ?

I'd go for one of these and use AirPlay rather than Bluetooth

There is a way to get a line input on the non-touchscreen cars - I did my old one with a BMW line input kit, but IIRC I also had to upgrade the radio module to a BM54

Bluetooth adaptor will work with an iPhone 5

For a simple Bluetooth streaming solution (I.e. You need to control everything from your phone), see how I did it here

Budget - err as little as possible, which is not to say that I not will pay for a solution that gives the best sound...

Not too bothered about what appears on screen.

Interesting option. A complication that it would need power, and although it says it works in the car, it also says it needs home wifi. Maybe it creates something adhoc?

I have touch screen so no BM54 for me....
