Likewise Paul, know very little about cars, but membership of this wonderful forum really helps as there is so much invaluable advice on here (and also some very humorous posts!). Best of luck with the new beast Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Ireland 2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black

Well I'm new to the forum, new to Land Rovers and more specifically new to Range Rovers... Being a (mostly) loyal BMW driver for the past 10 years, I had never had any interest in Range Rovers, until my wife was replacing her car last year and we test drove a 2008.

Long story short, she eventually settled on a new X3 as she thought the FFRR was too big for her but that short test drive set me off researching and plotting my move to a full fat, eventually purchasing a low mileage (30k miles) 2009, face-lifted Vogue four weeks ago. I had my heart set on an VSE, but the car I bought was in colour and condition I wanted and had a few extras I liked (specifically Active Cruise, Dual View, 20 Inch VSE Wheels) so I decided to take the plunge.

And it's fair to say I've loved every minute of ownership since....

I'm based in Dublin, Ireland but in the 4 weeks of my ownership the car has been across Ireland, France and the UK. Bringing the family holidaying in France (including a quick lap of the L'arc de Triomphe), acting as the most expensive hostess trolly in the world in the Royal Enclosure Car Park on the Saturday of Royal Ascot, and two trips to Cork and one to Galway last week.

There's no let up this week either with a trip to Belfast tomorrow, one to Cork on Thursday, then a wedding in Kilkenny on Friday and a Stag party in Westport, Mayo on Saturday!

A few photos of the adventure to date...

A picture of me, cleaning the car on the rear view camera, somewhere in the middle of France (the kids found this hilarious)

New Chap

Hi all,

Just joining from the Disco3 side after trading up to a very nice FFRR Vogue in Bonitti Grey with 22 inch Overfinch wheels. Completely un-practical as we are farmers and need mud-plugging abilities but what the hell.

Hope you guys have someone onboard like Discotres to keep me smiling but the site looks good so far.

Great to join you,
RiccartonRR.

2002 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Epsom Green

Hi all,

Newcomer to the Range Rover scene, albeit more by circumstance initially. Picked up an HSE off a family member that required some TLC and since my father is a mechanic we quickly set to work cleaning up the mess that was left from multiple previous owners.

Glad to say it's looking a lot nicer now and left me with a new love of range rovers as they weren't even on my radar before. My family member now wants his beloved car back and so I'll be on the hunt for a range of my own.

Just to add I have been trawling the site for the last few days and I love the attitude of the forum. I also own an audi tt and the main uk forum for that just declined to the point that I only bother loggin in to that a couple of times a year!

Happy to join the community!

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue
Prospective FFRR TDV8 owner

Good afternoon -

first thanks for such a great resource - been very useful in researching.

We're currently living full-time in Italy but going to be based back in the UK at the end of August. Long-term Land Rover owners - my wife won't be without a Defender - we have the opportunity to buy back the soft-top V8 90 she sold when we moved to Italy.

So the chipped 110 TD5 we have can be replaced with something more comfortable for journeys back and forth across Europe. I've driven both 3.6 and 4.4 TDV8s but budget will only stretch to a 3.6 at the moment. It does mean that Trusty Rusty, our 32,000 mile from new 1984 Range Rover will have to go but he needs a home that can cherish and polish him a bit more than we have time for

I hope this doesn't contravene the rules on Wanted / For Sale posts... but if anyone has a 2008/2009 with low miles (so that after two years when we can upgrade to a 4.4 the miles are more like average Mr. Green ) that they are thinking of selling in September please get in touch -

Only must haves are:
Premium leather with cooled front seats in a dark colour
Nav with iPod connection
Buck Blue, Tonga Green, Bonatti Grey, Black or Zambezi Silver - not really fussy on the exterior colour
Ideally something like the one Jayboy sold at the end of last year would be perfect Thumbs Up - http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic22405.html

Thanks all - here's a pic of these three

New Owner says Hi

So that's it then - I've gone and done it - Bought my first FF - a 2005 (6A) HSE TD6. Previous LR products being a Defender 90, Freelander and lastly a V8 Disco 2. FF has 90k on it and has full LR service history, got it at an ok price so am prepared for things to go wrong Rolling with laughter ! Got a few questions to ask - Ill do so in the correct parts of this most excellent forum! 1st thing to do will be a gearbox filter and oil change Smile Photo of the first ride out in the sun - needs wax and a clean , and side steps for my dearest beloved.. cheers for now..
