You slam on for a child walking out in front of you and it will probably shatter, no brakes, no child, serious damage to the FF and no insurance as you have posted a picture of it on a public forum....

100% agree....the disc could let go at any point. At best you do damage to your car, at worst you plough into a group of kids at the roadside....then Mr Big on Prison H block will own your choc hole for 10yrs when you go down...not worth it. Just a thought, but have you checked that the wheel is seating properly on the hub, i.e. flat and square on the hub? I had a judder in my steering at 55-70mph after getting new tyres fitted, thought it was an unbalanced tyre, but when I tried to take the front passenger wheel off I had to fight to remove it. It turned out that the hub cup had been deformed slightly when the wheel bearing was replaced and the cup was stopping the wheel from seating flat against the disk hub face. I had to file down and round the cup off and smooth out the inside of the wheel recess (the round hole through the centre of the wheel on the inside of the seating face) to ensure the wheel sat squarely on the hub. Judder sorted. |
