Scotland 2014 Range Rover Vogue SDV6 Santorini Black

We all arrived from different corners of the country, hence several cars.

2 of their 3 were not company cars.

They were trying to wind me up but they quite obviously didn't like it (not bothered anyway).

Suppose strictly speaking they can look 'dated' although most things do eventually!

Thanks for the replies. Didn't expect such a response.

Clearly though, non forum members don't all look at the L322 through rose coloured spectacles!

Thumbs Up

Hmm, that's even worse. They had a free choice of cars and give you a hard time about your choice of wheels?

Interestingly I never quite understood what the fuss was about with the Range Rover . I drove Jags for years culminating a series of XJR's and an XKRwhich I bought new in 2007. In 2000 I was given a 1998 Range Rover in lieu of a debt it was a 4.6 hse I still have it and so started my love of the RR.
The point I am making is that it is easy not to understand just how good these vehicles are and sure they don't have the looks of a db9 but they are classically individual which for me is a plus and immensely capable each to their own so long as you are happy ,and there are lots of us then, fine We should never judge peoples lack of taste or style I am sure your friends are competent in other ways Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Donning my flame suit...

Having got used to my L405, the L322 now does look increasingly dated to my eyes. It nevertheless remains very handsome. The two are not mutually exclusive - a Ferrari Daytona is dated too but I don't think many would argue that it is a good looking car.

Funnily enough I was looking at the old p38 last night and it looks less dated now than it did 5 years ago how odd

Donning flame suit (2)

I sold my L322 6 months ago to my daughter/ son in law and visited them last weekend for 1st time since they got it(they live a distance away) and although I am, and have been a keen RR fan for years, I have to say that as I saw my old L322 sat there it did run through my mind that it was starting to show its age a little, maybe it's with seeing more and more of the latest models running around and the latest RR sports shape is growing on me, but it will make no difference to me as the latest models have gone out of my reach I'm afraid.

To say it may look a little dated is not to say it did not still look like a quality vehicle.

Given that a lot of us are also looking a bit dated these days I can't see a problem with having a car to match.
Not sure about the brutal bit. Confused

it is a classy car, according to my old man, and he hates most cars, could have what ever he wants and choses to drive a 5 year old hilux around....... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

They started off by:
Suggesting it was a 53 plate (nothing wrong with 53 plates btw and it does have a private plate to answer a previous post);
Suggesting it had travelled 126k miles, had 6 previous keepers, did 9mpg and was worth £4,995

They didn't initiate their dis'ing of the car to my face, those were the actual descriptors used in the mock for sale sign they stuck on the windscreen and which was waiting for me when I returned from my team's winning round of golf (the win not being because of much my limited ability contributed) Rolling with laughter

I didn't even rise to their bait but did wonder if their views might provoke some interesting debate on here Thumbs Up

Well I read that with a certain "here is the reason I hate forums like this, snobbery and my balls are bigger than yours".....but much earlier in the replies I saw the simple answer....get new golf buddies.

I do a bit of mountain biking and the bike forums are full of carbon riding £4k rides with smart comments to others.....comments to others who dont just buy stuff on the never-never, but because they have what they can afford...people like me !! Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........
